VBP Certification
Certification types and how to apply
Full VBP Certification
Approved certification is valid for five years with an annual No Change Affidavit (Annual Recertification) process.
Please see the VBP No Change Affidavit Application Certification Checklist for a list of the required documentation.
Recognition Certification
VBP accepts certification from any of the following agencies for the Veterans Recognition.
Certification Process:
- Cook County (Veteran/Services-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise)
- Veteran Small Business Certification VetCert is administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
- City of Chicago (Veteran/Services-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise)
Recognition certification is valid for one year.

Eligible businesses may be certified in one or more of the following programs: Business Enterprise Program, Veterans Business Program, and Small Business Set-Aside Program.
