Phishing Scam Alert

The Illinois Commission on Equity and Inclusion (CEI) is aware of phishing scams in which individuals are impersonating CEI. CEI does not send unsolicited texts or emails threatening enforcement actions. Remain vigilant when receiving unexpected communications, especially those asking you to click links or provide personal information. For more safety tips visit: Protecting Your Business

VBP Certification

Certification types and how to apply

Full VBP Certification

Approved certification is valid for five years with an annual No Change Affidavit (Annual Recertification) process.

Please see the VBP No Change Affidavit Application Certification Checklist for a list of the required documentation. 

Recognition Certification

VBP accepts certification from any of the following agencies for the Veterans Recognition.

Certification Process:

  • Cook County (Veteran/Services-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise)
  • Veteran Small Business Certification VetCert is administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
  • City of Chicago (Veteran/Services-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise)

​Recognition certification is valid for one year.
