Public Comment fosters an opportunity for CEI to hear from the public. Meetings of CEI are open and comments will be heard from interested individuals under the following guidelines. Discussion between speakers and audience members is not permitted. Speakers shall address all comments to the Commission as a whole and not to individual commissioners. Each person speaking during this period will be provided up to 3 minutes for comments and subsequently, the microphone will be muted. Any remaining time may not be yielded to another and public comments in aggregate will not exceed thirty (30) minutes. Comments shall focus on the work of CEI and not be used to air personal grievances, make political endorsements, or discuss matters that are the subject of public hearings. Public comments will not be used for problem resolution, but rather for hearing from individuals for informational purposes.
